US Email: Personal Comment: Try this for
elbakl: 1. Grated tapioca 2. Sugar 3.Coconut Milk 4. Corn husk or
mengchongch. 5. Rope strings for wrapping depending on how much grated
tapioca you've got. i.e 4 cups Tapioca = 1 Cup Sugar Put the sugar in
the pot n melt it in medium low heat until it is brown but careful not
to burn for it will taste bitter. After the sugar browns, add 1 cup
coconut milk, stir n bring to boil. (The sugar will harden so boil until
it is in liquid form) Now with your already grated tapioca, slowly add
tapioca to the pot of sugar & milk until the tapioca matches the
brown color of the sugar. You may now add more sugar if desired. With
your corn husk (tamale wrap) or mengchongch (if you have) greased to
prevent sticking, you may now start wrapping & tying up for further
cooking (meliokl). Cook for up to 2hours or desired...Enjoy!
